If you buy quality carbide for aluminum you should not have any issue as you should be running at around 1000 SFM so with a 1/4" bit that is about 15,000 RPM. That would be well within the peak power range of a 24K spindle. My spindle will still perform well at 6000 rpm with a 1" fly cutter in 2024 aluminum.
